Health Services Supervisory Management Skills - 6M4978 - Tubbercurry Campus

The Health Services Supervisory Management Skills programme equips learners with the advanced knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to work independently or take on supervisory responsibilities within a variety of health service environments. This QQI Level 6 award strengthens leadership capability, enhances professional confidence, and prepares graduates to contribute effectively to the delivery and coordination of quality care.
Successful completion of the programme enables learners to progress into supervisory roles across diverse healthcare settings or continue their studies through further or higher education and training, supporting long term career development within the health sector.

Course Requirements

It is preferable for candidates to have a relevant QQI Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in a health-related area or relevant life experience

Career Opportunities

This course prepares students for employment in the role of Senior Carer and Supervisor. These positions may be in the following services: HSE or Private Hospitals, Care Homes, Nursing Homes, Day Centres, Centres for people with specific physical and/or intellectual needs. There are also positions in a wide range of Social Care settings providing services to people across all ages.

Progression

Following this course students are also in the position to apply to third level for a wide range courses in health, social care and other diverse areas. For example, Social Care Practice, Social Sciences, Leadership and Management, Counselling, Human Nutrition, Health and Exercise Science and many more.
Graduates may gain entry to Third Level Institutes and Colleges through the QQI Higher Education Links Scheme

Duration
