"I studied Business Administration in the College for one year and really enjoyed it. I gained a lot of experience and confidence from doing this course which helped me secure my present office job with a large multinational company. The staff were very helpful and gave me a lot of support. The workload is well spaced throughout the year. I would definitely recommend this course/college"

"I studied the Veterinary Assistant course at Sligo College of Further Education and thoroughly enjoyed it. The teachers were very friendly and approachable and the course itself was challenging but very interesting. I am now in Year 2 of my Veterinary Nursing degree. I couldn't have made it this far without attending Sligocfe."

"I found the Social Studies course to be more than I expected as the help and support I received throughout the year from members of staff and my lecturers in SCFE was amazing and to a very high standard .The course also offered me hands on experience in the area of social care through my work placement which I found to be a great benefit."

"I completed the two years Hairdressing Course at SCFE and am now working as a Junior Stylist in a busy salon in Dublin. I found the course to be demanding but very enjoyable and the guidance I received from both my tutors was invaluable. I would recommend this course as it provides a lot of hands on / real-life experience. I found employers were very receptive during interviews as I held the QQI, Junior Trades and City & Guilds awards."

I am currently studying in university of Stirling along side nine other girls from the course, and I just happened to be living with two of those girls which was a massive advantage when moving over to a strange place. Since starting the degree programme, I have realized what a massive impact the PLC has had on my studies and what an impact it has had on developing myself as a Nurse.

"Before I began attending SligoCFE to do the Healthcare Studies course, I was unsure whether Nursing was the right profession for me. I had already acquired a place on a Degree Nursing course but decided to defer and I'm delighted I did. I have gained so much insight in Nursing and have acquired valuable skills which I can take with me into my chosen profession. I found the college environment very structured and welcoming and made many new friends along the way".
