The purpose of this award is to enable the learner to acquire the knowledge, skill and competence to work independently and under supervision in a range of eBusiness contexts and or to progress to further and or higher education and training. Work placement / work experience is a core feature of programmes in this field, facilitating the enhancement of employability and transversal skills. Entrepreneurial and business planning skills enable learners to explore self-employment as a career option.
Help students develop the essential skills and techniques which form the basis for a career in industry, commerce or the public service.
Learners may also have the opportunity to study Maths (5N1833) as an extra module.
QQI Level 5 Award in E-Business (5M0828)
On completion of this Programme, learners may pursue a variety of related business and administrative sector roles – roles may include working in administrative, logistical, law, and accounting or informatics position in a wide range of organisation types.
Graduates may gain entry to Third Level Institutes and Colleges through the QQI Higher Education Links Scheme.
