Health Care Supervisory Management - 6M4978

This QQI Advanced Level 6 Certificate course offers holders of a FETAC Level 5 health-related award the opportunity to undertake further study in this area. The purpose of this award is to enable the learner to acquire the knowledge, skill and competence to undertake Supervisory Management roles in the community and in a range of Health Services settings.

This course is designed to

  • Provide the learner with the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skill and competence to work in an effective manner in their role as supervisor within the Health Service.
  • Offer enhanced opportunities in employment and will also enable the learner to progress to other appropriate programmes leading to awards at higher levels of the National Framework of Qualifications.
  • To enable the learner to acquire the knowledge, skill and competence to work as an autonomous practitioner and or take responsibility for the work of others in leading and coordinating the provision of quality health services.

Entry Requirements

  • Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Applied, or equivalent.
  • It is mandatory for candidates to have a relevant QQI Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in a care or health related area or relevant life experience.
