Hairdressing with Makeup Applications (Junior Trades) - 5M3351                   

This is a one year course which consists of intensive training in the skills and education required for the Hairdressing Industry with the option to continue for a further year to a higher level of hairdressing in Sligo CFE. Our award winning hairdressing team provide training in the fully-equipped college hairdressing salon. Our work experience programme offers students the opportunity to further develop their skills in selected and approved hairdressing salons.

This Course is designed to;

Equip the learner with the knowledge and practical skills required for a career as a trainee hairdresser.
It is the perfect induction to the basics in hairdressing and can open a world of opportunity into the world of hairdressing.

  • Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Applied, or equivalent

Career Opportunities

Sligocfe is a major provider of courses for the Hairdressing Industry including training for apprentices for Junior Trade and City & Guilds international diploma (Senior Trades). Upon successful completion of this course, students may gain placement as a Senior First Year Apprentice in a high-profile hairdressing salon or progress to Year 2 Hairdressing in Sligocfe.

There are no fees to study this course, however, students will have to purchase some additional items when undertaking this course such as;

Duration
